Inclinations was born in a workshop run by Cynthia Corbin. We were pushed to find design in the ordinary. I chose a plate with chopsticks on a place mat. What started out as a table setting turned into a piece that gives the feeling of a moonscape or floating orbs. Each block has similar elements, configured slightly differently in each. The quilt's surface is covered entirely by quilting stitches with the exception of the circles. So many different colored threads sewn into the quilt actually changed the color of the fabrics I used in this quilt.
