My landscapes are created in a collage type manner. The entire piece is designed and quilted as I go, starting with the sky; quilting it, than moving on the the next layer....... in most cases the mountains or far-away hills. Each layer has it's own quilting to enhance and suggest what that area might be. Trees and reeds or grasses are all slender fused fabrics that are quilted as well. I pay attention to the depth and dimension each piece will need to give the greatest impact of distance and perspective.
